Chinese National Television broadcast coverage of the Bulgarian Rose Valley
Chinese Central TV - CCTV sent a news crew in Bulgaria following an invitation of the Bulgarian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry /BCCCI/. Ms. Liu Chanjuan, correspondent for the Balkans for the national media of PRC to reflect the traditional events in the town of Kazanlak, held during this year's Rose Festival.
Two reports in the central news program of CCTV presented our country as a sunny and peaceful place in Europe. Chanjuan Liu’s materials showed the authentic rose-picking ritual, held in the village of Razhena. Her filming team also show interviews with some Bulgarian rose oil producers.
The footage from the largest distillery in the Kazanlak region uncovered some interesting facts related to the extraction of rose oil and rose water. Currently, the Bulgarian rose water is particularly popular in China, where the rising living standards have increased and demand for imported luxury goods, said Mr. Victor Azmanov.
On the CCTV news footage could be seen beautiful Bulgarian girls. The young ladies competed for the title “Queen of the Valley of Roses”. BCCCI have provided the big prize in the contest, thanks to which the winner will travel to China.
