No one is going to invest in a country that has chased investors away, according to the mayor of Kavarna - Tsonko Tsonev
“If the price of electricity from alternative sources is reduced, the billions, which Chinese State Company was planning to invest in the region of Kavarna will be lost.” This alarms in an interview with news agency "Dartsnews" the mayor of the small municipality - Tsonko Tsonev. According to him, the Chinese investor has already invested 100 million euros in the project. "They are giving up, preferring to let the 100 million euros that have been poured until now and not to spend even more. They have made their calculations, had plans, have calculated the bank loan and at one point the country in the face of the regulator changes the rules, " says the Mayor.
Asked about the expected outflow of investors Mr Tsonev said: "I speak for Chinese investors, because their Bulgarian partners have reported it to them. But surely there will be others who will quit. Such reduction causes a living death. And you cannot expect in 2-3 years someone to come to invest in a country that has already chased away its investors. A 22% reduction will be lethal.
